Fattoria Poggio Alloro

Fattoria Poggio Alloro

Within the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany, you can find Fattoria Poggio Alloro, a family run farm located a bus drive outside of Florence, in the fertile lands of San Gimignano.

At the farm, we immersed ourselves in various activities, from touring the vineyards and meeting the cows to exploring the greenhouse bursting with fresh produce. The highlight was a hands-on cooking class where we learned the art of making pasta from scratch and bruschetta, which pronouciation we have now mastered of bruschetta ("brues-ket-a").

Afterwards, we had a round of wine tasting with the iconic view of San Gimignano’s towers to admire, and toasted to Italy's culinary delights and our new found love for Italian culture. As the day drew to a close, we indulged in a delectable three-course dinner featuring our handmade pasta.

Fattoria Poggio Alloro offered more than just a tourist experience; it was a journey into the heart of Tuscany's agricultural heritage, where tradition meets modern-day charm. Along with the stunning scenery we made unforgettable memories that will always be cherished.
