Florence: Lots to do!

Florence: Lots to do!

Today in Florence, Italy was unforgettable. At Hotel Boccaccio, the staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the city. We started our day with breakfast in a little cute café inside the hotel with many breakfast items and they all looked so delicious. with a walk to the Duomo, we climbed the stairs and it felt like stepping back in time. The making of the staircase was impressive, especially considering the lack of modern technology. It is very amazing to see how pretty buildings were made with so much detail going into them. Inside the church, the paintings were so beautiful. Getting to the top of the Duomo you see the city from the top and is really worth the stair climbing!  As I explored the streets, I felt almost as I traveled back in time everything was like a castle looking! Watching the sunset from Piazza de Michelangelo was the best ending to our afternoon, I felt a deep connection to Florence's past. It was like being part of a living painting, surrounded by the city's beauty.
