Fastenal

Taking the train for the first time in Italy, I ended up going to Fastenal, a company for industrial supplies. The newness of verifying our tickets as we navigated the station gave a rush to the day, exciting! When I arrived, the Fastenal team welcomed us warmly, which set the tone for an interesting and informational meeting where thoughtful conversations flowed naturally. They discussed about what fastenal is all about and how different fastenal in italy may be than the united states as companies must comply with the norms of company behaviors in foreign countries which was something I never thought about. While they were discussing ideas, they showed hospitality to a little café in the building, where we had some cafe to keep us going! As the day came to an end, I left with a fresh perspective on Fastenal's activities in Italy as well as a renewed respect for the charm of true connections made in unexpected places and the beauty of cultural immersion.
